🌱 Seeds of Light – Light Up Childhood through Art

Seeds of Light – Light Up Childhood through Art is a student-initiated charitable project established by a group of Chinese students currently studying in Singapore. The project aims to improve educational conditions and inspire creativity among children in underprivileged rural areas of Yunnan Province, China. During our visits home, we observed that many rural schools in Yunnan face severe shortages of basic educational facilities and resources. Classrooms often lack proper study desks and chairs, digital teaching equipment, school uniforms, and essential learning materials. In addition, many schools do not have specialized teachers for art, music, or physical education, depriving students of opportunities to explore creativity, expression, and teamwork. We believe that education should go beyond textbooks and exams—it should nurture imagination, confidence, and hope. Inspired by this belief, we initiated Seeds of Light to bring the joy of learning and the spirit of art to children who deserve equal opportunities to thrive.
